The Mamanuca Dive Operators Reef Check Network involves all the Dive Operators in the Mamanuca region. The role of the network is to establish initiative toward reef check activities and also coordinate COTs removal programme within the network and also discuss issues that can improve. On the 21st of August 2007, the network agrees to have their next meeting at Port Denarau, community hall. All members will meet from 9.00 – 10.00 am for their meeting and from 11.00 – 3.00pm there will be a reef check refresher course for the dive operators initiated by Mamanuca Environments Society (MES).
The purpose of the Reef Check Survey Refresher Course was for all to refresh their reef check survey skills and also agree on a survey protocol for all to follow during upcoming and future reef check survey in the Mamanuca Region.
