The Mamanuca Environment Society (MES) and Marsh have announced an annual partnership aimed at funding the core activities of the organisation.
Mr Geoffrey Shaw, the Chairman for the Mamanuca Environment Society applauded Marsh’s commitment that is to the benefit of Fiji’s environment and the on going work of the Society.
MES Assistant Project Manager, Mrs Marica Vakacola stated that “By lending this support, Marsh has demonstrated its affinity to Fiji. We will use the annual grant to fund our core activities which will ensure locals and visitors alike can continue to enjoy the pristine natural environment that our islands are famous for,”.
“Such support by Marsh will no doubt help us achieve our goals and expand our work in the region” she added.
The Mamanuca Environment Society was formed in 2001 to promote awareness of the need to protect the marine and terrestrial resources of the Mamanuca Region and to assist, through partnerships with local communities, tourism operators, government and non–government organisations, in the environmentally sustainable development of these resources.
Because of the foresight of our founding members, today we are a strong, proactive organisation – proud guardians of our stunning natural environment.
We actively seek opportunities that stand out, that will best benefit of the communities we serve and its environment for the benefit of present and future generations.
