Clams Initiative

The Mamanuca Environment Society (MES) under its Clam restoration programme is currently working with the Department of Fisheries for the extraction of giant clams from the Makogai Clam Nursery. Mamanuca Environment Society is currently working toward establishing Clam Pool for the Society and may be for the region in the future. MES is working with the Department of Fisheries and with the support of BP Oil to transport 200 clams from the nursery in Makogai to the Mamanuca Region.
